TV Campaigns
Burger King

During my 5 years working for Burger King Spain and Portugal, I helped create and produce 15 film campaigns.

Here's a short selection of them:

The Queen Cheese is perfect for cheese lovers. But this ingredient has its fair share of haters. Poor things, they don't know any better, so we wanted to be fair. When it was time to bring this burger back to the menu, we created a version just for them: the Queen Sin Cheese. Same recipe, with all the cheese removed.

We were tasked with promoting the new Queen BBQ as “the authentic American flavor” (I know!). Luckily, Spain already had plenty of fake Americans: Spaniards who act as if they were born and raised in the US. No more pretending, my friends! The new Queen BBQ is here.

If you're not exactly a budgeting enthusiast, may Heaven save you from sharing a home with someone who is. That's Hell. Unless you live in Spain or Portugal, where King Ahorro is so cheap, the money you'll save might even save you from the lectures of your household's self-appointed finance manager.

When you love your car so much, you don't want anyone eating or drinking inside it. The easiest solution is not taking anyone with you. But with Burger King's Drive-Thru 2-for-1 deals, even the most annoying co-pilot might be worth bringing along.

Lastly…

Thanks to our loyalty program, going to Burger King took on a double meaning in Portugal. Before, people came to satisfy their hunger. Now, they also come to win.

So, when it came time to launch it, we enlisted Portugal's ultimate master of double entendre: Quim Barreiros. One of the country's most iconic songwriters, he's known for lyrics packed with cheeky double meanings, sung every year by generations of Portuguese.

We asked him to do what he does best, and Quim Barreiro came back from retirement to release one last single: Coroa-te (Crown Yourself).

We launched the song on Spotify alongside a music video on YouTube, timed to Portugal's Festas Populares, the time of year when Quim's songs are heard, sung, and danced the most across the country.

We also rolled out a series of social ads starring Quim.

The first two nodded to some of his most famous songs: one about cod, and another about his neighbor's garage. Neither was really about cod or garages.

And the last one was just stupid.
